Real brides: Inez
Inez married Josh in a relaxed ceremony at Newton House Barns, Derbyshire.
The beautiful setting, surrounded by stunning gardens with a pond and fountains was decorated with a rustic theme and a hint of pink and the couple said I do in front of family and friends from all over the world – Boston, New York City, Florida, Liverpool, Bolton and London. Inez and Josh fell in love with the venue at first sight and never looked elsewhere.
For the wedding breakfast Inez and Josh nominated one person on each table to carve and serve a joint of beef and provided them with a chef’s hat and apron – a great way to break the ice and add to the fun atmosphere of the day. Emotional speeches from the father of the bride and plenty of laughs from the best man plus a poem written by romantic Josh and a magical first dance made the day truly special and unforgettable.
Inez looked absolutely stunning in the Ronald Joyce Jodie dress from Nora Eve Bridal. She had delicate lace sleeves and back jewellery added to the dress and loved the belt and pocket details. A beautiful cathedral length veil which matched the sleeves completed the look.
Inez loved the Nora Eve Bridal experience, saying: “I pre-phoned Nora Eve Bridal to ask what size dresses they stocked and the lady on the phone was brilliant and explained each dress so that I could see them online and see which ones I liked. When I was there I was made to feel so welcome and I didn’t feel like I had to rush. When my dress arrived I was able to bring my grandfather who is blind to the fitting and was able to have some special time with him in the room. On my final fittings I was put at ease with everything and even when I needed to double check everything nothing was too much trouble.”
Inez and Josh’s story started with a dating app. Both had been single for a while before deciding to swipe right and matching with each other. After chatting for a few weeks, the pair became Facebook friends and were amazed to realise they had lots of friends in common. They decided to meet in person and the rest is history!
The proposal came on a romantic mini break in the north east. On New Year’s Eve, the couple visited Alnwick Castle where Harry Potter was filmed. Knowing what a huge fan of the films Inez is, Josh gave her a box at the entrance to the castle. The box was filled with cards, each telling Inez different things until she got to the last card, on which was written “Will you marry me?” What a wonderful way to welcome in the new year!
Inez and Josh now plan to continue to explore the world together – they travelled to Alaska on their honeymoon and will be visiting Boston twice this year, followed by exploring more of Europe and then who knows? The next adventure awaits…
