Royal wedding rundown: our favourites from Princess Eugenie’s wedding
We thought we couldn’t possibly be more excited for a royal event after Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s beautiful wedding back in May. Boy, were we wrong. The second royal wedding of the year saw Princess Eugenie say “I do” with long-term love Jack Brooksbank on 12th October at Windsor Castle and we’re tempted to say that we loved it even more than the first one. Oh yes, we went there. Here are our favourite picks from Eugenie and Jack’s big day.
Well, of course, we wouldn’t be a bridal boutique if we didn’t mention Princess Eugenie’s wedding dress. Taking a leaf out of Meghan Markle’s book, Eugenie also went for simplicity and long sleeves. The fabric included subtle detail with symbols that are close to the couples hearts, including a thistle and a shamrock and the elegant train looked amazing on the steps outside St George’s Chapel. But our favourite part of the dress? Princess Eugenie opted for a low cut back in order to show her scars from surgery she had aged 12, to correct scoliosis. What a total inspiration.
The dress was designed by Peter Pilotto and Christopher De Vos of British-based label Peter Pilotto.
Talk about accessory goals. The tiara that Princess Eugenie wore on the big day was lent to her by the Queen and is made up of brilliant and rose cut diamonds set in platinum with six emeralds on either side. And it’s simply stunning. The diamond and emerald drop earrings were a wedding day gift from the groom. Topping off her accessories, Princess Eugenie wore a beautiful glow and a big smile.
The flowers for the ceremony were really autumnal with jewel tones and burnt oranges plus extra foliage adoring the steps of the chapel, perfect for an autumn wedding. Princess Eugenie opted for whites to match her dress for the bridal bouquet.
We expected no less than a star studded guest list and that was exactly what we got. Obviously the royals were all present and correct – including the adorable Prince George and Princess Charlotte who were part of the wedding party – with Meghan and Kate leading in the fashion stakes and the Queen looking lovely. There were also lots of celebrities in attendance including fashion royalty Kate Moss and Naomi Campbell, Robbie Williams and Ayda Field whose daughter was a flower girl, and Cara Delevigne who really stole the show by showing up in a top hat and tails.

Our very favourite part of the wedding was how in love and happy the bride and groom looked. We wish Princess Eugenie and Jack Brooksbank all the best for the rest of their lives together.
